Unreal importing fbx with multiple meshes import as sperate meshes

A fbx mesh of a fan I imported imported as below. not much useful if I have to assemble the full mesh by hand!


 

Option 1: Combine meshes while importing - this is good if you do not want to animate or change part of the mesh.

Option 2: Import and create a blue print with the imported mesh components

Create blue print, and select actor as parent class

Now, open the blue print, go back to content browser, and select all parts of mesh, and drag it under the blue print root. Now you can use the blueprint in your scene. Plus, you can select the required mesh, and animate, etc from the blueprint!
